Mods & Rockers by Kevin Walsh contains two high quality 500 piece jigsaw puzzles by Gibsons. Completed puzzle size: 35 x 48cm The hallmarks of the 60s Rocker were leather jackets, gelled hair, side burns and motor bikes. Meanwhile the Mods liked fine cut trendy clothes, parka jackets, mop haircuts and rode Lambretta and Vespa motor scooters, sometimes adorned with shiny lamps, and mirrors. The competition between the two groups frequently boiled over and lead to running battles in town centres and beaches along the south coast of England. As with all Gibsons jigsaws, the carefully illustrated pieces are made from the highest quality 100% recycled board and are therefore a pleasure to work with again and again. Kevin Walsh was born in Yorkshire, England, in 1950 and went on to study illustration at Wakefield College for Art. In recent years he has become increasingly known for a much wider variety of subjects, landscapes, city life in bygone days and transport now figure prominently among his works. Another of his subjects in recent times now include classic cars from the Twenties through to the Sixties. Numerous limited edition prints available from The Oakwood Grange Collection are posted to collectors in the UK, USA, Australia and Japan to name a few countries. Accurate technical and historical detail combined with and ability to capture the warmth and atmosphere of his subjects are the hallmarks of this remarkably accomplished artist and he travels many miles to research his painting and spends countless hours sketching before committing the final composition to canvas.
